Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the SacredSteps mobile application ("the App") operated by SacredSteps ("we", "us", or "our").
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using SacredSteps, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Description of Service
SacredSteps is a fitness and wellness application that tracks your walking steps and maps them to biblical journeys. The App integrates with Apple HealthKit to read your step count data and provides spiritual content including scripture passages, reflections, and artwork.
User Accounts
SacredSteps does not require account creation. Your progress and data are stored locally on your device. If you purchase premium features, your purchase is managed through your Apple ID.
In-App Purchases
- Premium features are available through in-app purchases processed by Apple.
- All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law.
- Refund requests should be directed to Apple through their App Store support.
- You can restore previous purchases on the same Apple ID at any time.
Health Data
SacredSteps accesses step count data from Apple HealthKit with your explicit permission. We do not share, sell, or transmit your health data to any third parties. Your health data remains on your device and is used solely for tracking journey progress within the App.
Intellectual Property
- All content in SacredSteps, including artwork, text, graphics, and software, is owned by or licensed to SacredSteps.
- Scripture quotations and biblical content are used for educational and devotional purposes.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without permission.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer or extract source code from the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Circumvent any security features or access restrictions
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements. Step count accuracy depends on your device and HealthKit data.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SACREDSTEPS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
Health Disclaimer
SacredSteps is not a medical device and should not be used to diagnose, treat, or prevent any health condition. Always consult with a healthcare professional before starting any exercise program. Do not rely on the App for medical advice.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
